He looked at her thoughtfully, reminded a little of Marie. Vanessa really was a nice girl - too nice for the likes of himself and Birkin.
But he was a little flattered, and he didn't want her to be scared.
Nodding, he took her hand and squeezed it. "I know the moon and sun aren't like the one in Birkin's world," he said. "I guess it's weird to you." He smiled. "But there's nothing out there that will hurt you. Not in Death City. There's a whole army of meisters and weapons out there keeping people like you safe."
