Stein felt a shot of pain at the touch to the bitten place, and only now realized that she'd bitten him and drawn blood. He shifted slowly, drawing from her body and settling on his side next to her. He didn't resist the pressure of her hand and he lifted his head up and smiled. The madness in his eyes was banked, and he looked far more lucid than he had since she arrived.
"Incredible," he agreed, smiling softly, and nuzzled her hair gently in thanks. "I think I needed...a wakeup call. And you did give me one in the most delightful way."
He lifted his head once more and glanced down at the cuts to her body, his eyes lingering upon them for a moment or two, but he didn't apologize. "You said something about staying the night. Is that still okay?"
