[Accidental Video Post]

[He's sitting in his lab, typing on his phone, his expression set in a frown. After hitting 'send' he sets it down and leans back in his chair. The lighting is dim, making it hard to see his expression, but he lets out a soft and heavy sigh]

I guess no one's even noticed.

[Birkin sort of figured that wasn't what he was hoping for, but he wasn't about to leave. If nothing else, he likes being able to walk to work]

I can come along too. [He lays his head back down] After a nap.

[It's not perfect, but it's better. And Stein can be contented with it for now.]

Sounds great. [He grins] You can't nap standing up, though. [And he reaches down to lift Birkin into his arms]

[He yelps as he's picked up, tensing for a second before wrapping his arms around Stein's neck and rationalizing that he's not going to get dropped on the ground] Wow, you can pick me up like I weigh nothing. That's... Both impressive and a little scary.

[Birkin yawns and sets his head back down, letting his eyes close]

You don't weigh nothing. [Stein's teasing. He can carry Birkin pretty easily, though. The guy doesn't exactly weigh that much either.]

[He carries him out of the lab and up towards their bedroom, ignoring anyone who might come by on the way.]

[Birkin's head snaps up and boy, is that one hell of an offended look on his face] So sorry for not looking like a walking Greek statue. Asshole.

[They pass Krauser on the way, who glares daggers and scoffs, but forces himself to not start a fight, instead mumbling something about pants and common courtesy as he walks away.

By the time Stein's carried him upstairs, Birkin is half-asleep in his arms and not really in the mood to move]

[Stein looks startled at the reaction.] I like how you look. [He smiles and gives him a kiss, walking past Krauser and ignoring the scoffing and mumbling completely]

[Then he reaches their room and lays Birkin down on the bed, tugging the rest of his clothes off and then stripping himself]

[Birkin gives a non-committal 'Mmm' but smiles softly at the kiss. He knew it was just a joke and wasn't about to fly off the handle, even if he did like making Stein feel bad.

He snuggles into the comforter, patting the spot next to him]

[Stein rolls his eyes and gets into bed, burying his face next to Birkin's neck and closing his eyes. Weird, isn't it... This must be what home feels like.]
